This month, author Marissa Meyer set off on a nine-city tour in celebration of Renegades (Feiwel and Friends, Nov.), first in her new YA duology. The tour kicked off on November 6 at Joseph-Beth Bookstore in Cincinnati, where fans participated in trivia, costume contests, and more. We’ve rounded up a selection of photo highlights from the festivities, which included standing-room-only superhero-themed events, an interactive signing line, and a closing keynote at YALLFest in Charleston, S.C., and cosplay inspired by Meyer’s characters.

Meyer visited the Public Library of Brookline, in Brookline, Mass. The event, hosted by Brookline Booksmith, featured a photo backdrop with the skyline from the Renegades cover, themed buttons, and a make-your-own-cupcake station. Here, Meyer is joined by Alex Schaffner of Brookline Booksmith (center) and Robin Brenner of the Public Library of Brookline, dressed as Queen Bee.

Middle school students join the author for a party at St. Charles City-County Library, in St. Peters, Mo. The event was sponsored by Main Street Books.
